Step II Dance Center offers the best in instruction for Ballet, Step, Salsa, Tap, Theatre Dance, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Kinder-Yoga, Zumba, Soft Shoe (Irish Dance), Voice and Acting. It’s because of the training that Step II offers, some of our students have gone on to performing in national and international tours as well as regional theatre.

We have a lot of adults that come to the studio and have been in our shows as well. Our youngest is three and our oldest is 82 years old. We have a wide range of people that come to Step II.

Our performing company is called Step II Productions. We were formed in 1994.

Step II Productions was founded to give students opportunities to grow in a professional atmosphere. We have produced musical plays such as “FAME”, “42nd Street”, “Starmites”, “Footloose”, “Carnival”, “Annie” and “Gypsy” to name a few. We have also worked with a broadway writer and director. He reworked one of his plays and we put it together for him.

We have also produced staged readings for original plays such as workshops for both the readers and authors. We also put together fashion shows for different companies such as Fashion Bug at the Sister to Sister Heart convention in 2006 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Our students have had opportunities to be in commercials, fashion shows, TV and film. This is through workshops that we offer as well as alerting them to audition opportunities. As for one of the commercials, Forman Mills came to the studio to hold auditions. Some of our students were picked. We have held film auditions for independent film companys.
